What is the Leadership Tournament?
The Leadership
Tournament brings together the students from the best universities in the UK to compete and demonstrate that they are the
leaders of the future. It is your chance to walk the talk and actually demonstrate your leadership ability.
Everyone
talks about leadership but who gives you the chance to learn, practice and demonstrate your leadership skills? We do! By bringing
you together into teams for a day we will teach you to discover your own leadership abilities and then challenge you by holding
a competition to discover who the best are. The best teams, as judged by our selection panels, will then advance to our final
at KPMG's headquarters in London for the final round of the competition to determine which students have got what it takes
to be the leaders of tomorrow.
This is your chance to walk the talk and actually demonstrate your leadership ability.
* Compete against 300 students from 5 top universities
* Benefit from training from companies such as KPMG, Aldi, Benedix, QS and Zurich.
* Get proof that you can demonstrate leadership in high-pressure situations – something to talk about on your CV and
in interviews!
* Get honest constructive criticism from the company judges – find out what you can do to improve and get the edge,
even if your friends are too polite to tell you!
Every competitor gets:
* One full day’s training on getting a job in the City from an experienced City professional, courtesy of Benedix, specialists
in training and recruitment for the City.
* An amazing day’s experience and something to put on your CV!
The top 60 go on to compete in the National Final at KPMG headquarters in London.
The final six competitors will benefit massively from a range of prizes designed to help you develop your leadership abilities,
enabling you to become a high-achiever and great success throughout your life. Now we’ve tested your leadership ability,
we’re going to help you develop it further:

* Three days of intensive training from Benedix – learn how to master job searching, interviews, CVs, job applications
and how to plan to be a success throughout your career and personal life.

Why are we running it?
Just
what is leadership? How do you know when you are a leader? These are difficult questions to answer yet they require answering
because the world of today demands leadership ability from all of us. No matter what area of life you want to go in to, you
cannot have the impact you wish to have without leadership ability. Why? If you don't lead then someone else will, if you
can't inspire others with your ideas and passion then someone else will. In short, to succeed you need to lead.
We
want to empower students by giving them to chance to learn and understand their leadership ability so that when they graduate
they have what it takes to lead. Our leadership tournament is the perfect environment to develop that understanding of your
leadership abilities, by participating in it you will get the skills and experiences you need to significantly advance your
leadership ability.
